Hann’s Missed Opportunity

In Minnesota politics, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association(MPPOA) are usually a safe endorsement for incumbent legislators. Their endorsement usually comes with some money and independent expenditure support. This year we understand Sen. David Hann (R-48, Eden Prairie) called over to their office seeking their support and was rebuffed and told the endorsements were done in July and his office had been called three times and been informed the process was ongoing, and he needed to submit a request for endorsement. At the time he was told, the MPPOA had spoken to someone in his office named Kevin each time.

Now it is our assumption, the Kevin mentioned was Chief of Staff Kevin Matzek. Looks like he may have dropped the balls a few too many times on this one. He should start packing his stuff too, because we doubt the incoming Minority Leader will need his follow through abilities.
